Janet has been teaching private lessons to students of all ages for several decades, along with holding the position of adjunct teacher in school systems both Downriver and in Macomb County. She travels with her string quartet to give seminars in school systems across Michigan.

She has worked extensively with Youth Orchestras of Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint, Plymouth and Wyandotte.

Combining several methods of teaching has allowed the flexibility needed to address the individual learning style of each student.

Student achievements include: Soloist contest Winners, MSBOA #1 Rating awards, Honors Orchestra members, Scholarship Winners to attend Interlochen, Blue Lake, out-of-State camps, and for funding for private lessons.

They are Concertmasters, Principal Chairs, and strong members of The Detroit Symphony's Civic Orchestras, along with the Youth Orchestras of Dearborn, Livonia, Monroe, DYPAC and other groups. They perform for festivals, country clubs, churches, weddings, malls, nursing homes, and various cities' functions.

Former students have been accepted to universities and conservatories such as: Cleveland Institute of Music; Oberlin; University of Michigan; Michigan State; University of Iowa; Eastern Michigan University; Western Michigan University; Wayne State University; and Oakland University.
